As someone who may be younger than some of Dr. DeLuca’s patients, (26) I was a little intimidated and nervous about the process. My double chin had always been an issue for myself. Even when I was in high school, playing sports year round and weighing like a feather, I had a double chin. It was very much out of place on me. And while, I am older and weigh a little more than a feather now – it still is out of place. In reality it was due to my round face and small chin, and anything I did would not take it away. I was determined to do something about then. After much discussion with my mother I decided on visiting Dr. DeLuca. Dr. DeLuca and wonderful staff (especially Gloria!) made not only myself, but my mother feel that we had made the right choice.

Dr. DeLuca was thorough in explaining what could, and then would be done. Taking me through each step, clearly and so that I could become assured, calm and confident in my decision. The weeks leading up the surgery, Dr. DeLuca, Gloria and the staff were on top of every process. Even the wonderful ladies at the surgery center made me feel at ease, not rushed, so that I wasn’t just “another” surgery on their schedule.

The day of the surgery went by fast and without a hitch. The pain was minimal and the recovery time, was just like Dr. DeLuca predicted under a week! I almost didn’t want to believe him, but within a week I was back at work, and loving my new chin/neck.

The work Dr. DeLuca preformed may have been a small surgery but the confidence it gave me, to project about myself into the world is something I wouldn’t trade away. I feel and see that in the way that I carry myself now, at work and in my personal life and how I (finally!) pose for pictures! Dr. DeLuca may be a wonderful surgeon but the way that not only himself, but his staff put you at ease, and make you feel at home with them, may be only one reason, but a big one,of the reasons why I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone!

I am 28 years old and for about 10 years I have wanted to correct my tuberous breast condition, which I no longer have thanks to Dr. DeLuca! I had consultations all over the world, with about 10-12 different plastic surgeons. It was only when I posted my photos and question on RealSelf.com that I came across Dr. DeLuca. I went shopping yesterday at Victoria Secret and what a pleasure it was to be told by the shop assistance what lovely breasts I have. What a pleasure it was to fit properly into a bra.

I wish I could say that this surgery has changed my life, but I guess in many ways it has. I felt my condition held me back in so many ways before the correction. Be it in intimate relationships, in how I dressed or how I saw myself, inside I was confident, I just felt my body (breasts) didn’t reflect it. Now I have nothing to hold me back!

I would like to this opportunity to say Thank you to Dr. DeLuca. As with all of his patients, my special situation/circumstances have led me to this incredibly caring and talented surgeon.

First a bit of history:

In July of 2009, I woke up one morning and decided that at 5’0 168 lbs. was not acceptable. I disliked what I had become, how I looked and how I put myself last on the “take care” list. I was married, had two children, and worked full-time. So with that said, I realized what I needed to do, be more active again and start eating healthier: basically making better life choices for myself. I needed to start giving myself the same quality care as I did for my family. Within weeks, I started seeing a difference. Within months I shed 50 lbs, the right way: by making healthy choices. I reevaluated my diet, ran daily, went to the gym and trained with kettlebells and free weights. I was feeling wonderful!

Approximately a year later, July of 2010, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer. Again, I did what I had to do, went in for surgery, had a lumpectomy and an axillary node dissection. In September of 2010, I started 6 weeks of radiation. Concluding in October, I was on the road to recovery. In January, 2011 I met with by breast surgeon and we talked about reconstructive surgery. Since I did not have a mastectomy, it wasn’t required, however I had the option of having it done. After much thought about my personal being, how hard I worked to get my body back into shape and dealing with breast cancer, I had decided to take the plunge. As I was researching various techniques and implants I stumbled upon Dr. DeLuca. I looked at the “before and after” pictures. I read various bio’s and felt he was the right match for me.

I emailed Dr. DeLuca on the weekend explaining my situation realizing that not all plastic surgeons would pick up cancer recovering patients. Much to my surprise, Dr. DeLuca emailed be back within 24 hours stating that his office would call me on Monday to set up an appointment. He was definitely interested in meeting me and taking on my case. I was scheduled to meet Dr. DeLuca in early September. I was extremely excited and anxious to meet Dr. DeLuca. The weekend before my appointment we were hit by the tropical storm, IRENE. Our house was hit hard and we had to evacuate. Water was coming into the house on the bottom floor. The next morning was my appointment. Considering that I live 45 minutes south of Dr. DeLuca, I called up Dr. DeLuca’s office to ensure he was still seeing patients that day. The surgical secretary stated that Dr. DeLuca himself was asked to evacuate his street the night before. Dr. DeLuca slept at his office that night so that he would be able to see his patient appointments the following day. That was the moment that I knew he was a caring and diligent surgeon.

As my house was recovering I drove up and met Dr. DeLuca. It was obvious he had read my profile and knew all the pertinent details of my cancer and surgery. I was duly impressed. Dr. DeLuca explained exactly what he could do, and the rationale behind it. He knew that fitness and the continuation of my training program was important to my new lifestyle. With that, Dr. DeLuca was able to create symmetry and insert implants just enough so that I was proportionate without impacting my fitness routine. Each follow-up visit and consultation was professional, and thorough. I remember prior to surgery feeling confident, well informed, and knowing that I had truly found the perfect surgeon for me.

Dr. DeLuca’s office staff is incredible. He is surrounded by a caring, supportive and professional team.
I have experienced many changes the past couple of years. Words cannot describe the gratitude I have for Dr. DeLuca. I am extremely thrilled with the results. I feel better now at 47 then I did in my 20’s and 30’s. I continue my life of health and fitness, with the confidence and body I have always wanted, even with the obstacles along the way. I met Dr. DeLuca in 2004. I had been contemplating breast augmentation for years and just kept talking myself out of it. At the age of 22, I had two benign tumors removed from my left breast and as I expected, the surgery left me asymmetrical. I am very pleased with the work that Dr. DeLuca performed on me. I had neck liposuction and breast augmentation done simultaneously. Going into this I had two major concerns, the first being neck bruising. I have always had large breast; my gynecologist has hinted for several years to me regarding a breast reduction; until the suggestion I never gave it a thought. Over the last three years the thought of a breast reduction has always been in the back of my mind. When I look at myself in pictures/mirror I see large and hanging breasts with large indentations in my shoulders and back pain. A friend recently underwent a breast reduction and when I saw her was amazed at how great she looked.

I have never had surgery but knew I was unhappy with my size DD breasts; I decided to make an appointment with Dr. DeLuca just to discuss the process and procedure (keeping in the back of my mind that I’m just talking to the Doctor no decisions have to be made).

I was a little nervous on appointment day; will I be able to do this, have surgery? When I met Dr. DeLuca he made me very comfortable, he showed me pictures of other women’s breasts before and after their surgery – my breasts looked just as large and saggy as these women’s but the after pictures were amazing. Dr. DeLuca explained what the procedures would be; however, I was still nervous but decided to go for it.

On surgery day I was not nervous because I knew this is what I wanted. The surgery went great; I didn’t need the pain medication… Tylenol worked for me. I had surgery on Tuesday and went back to work on the following Monday.

I feel great, no back pain and the indentations in my shoulders are starting to fade. I have never worn a shirt with buttons – they always gape in the front – now I own button up shirts. I enjoy shopping for clothes. I can buy pretty colored bras; I now own a sports bra – they never fit – always looked like I had one big boob. The most amazing thing is I don’t have to wear a bra if I don’t want to – they look great.

I would recommend anyone to Dr. DeLuca, he did a wonderful job, and made me feel comfortable, and I liked him immediately. Dr. DeLuca answered all my questions I had written down in a list – he literally sat down and answered each and every one. I am very happy with my new size and wish I had this done sooner. I am a 52 year old woman. As a dark skinned “Mediterranean” woman, I have been plagued with very dark circles under my eyes whether I am tired or not. As such, I have been applying concealer on my circles for the last 40 years. Not being the gentle-touch kind of person, I inadvertently created a lot of unsightly damage. In addition to this (and perhaps hereditary), my eyelids were drooping such that in the late afternoon, I had trouble seeing (anything but half of an eyelid). My friends recommended that I consider having a procedure known as a blepharoplasty and Dr. DeLuca was the most frequently recommended surgeon. After doing extensive research, I decided to proceed. Dr. DeLuca informed me that he could solve the issue with the incredibly excessive skin above and below my eyes, but he indicated that I would, by heritage, still have the dark circles. I truly appreciated his honesty, and proceeded anyway.

The surgery was a “piece of cake” just like the Dr. said it would be. I am a whimp, and did not believe him, but he was right!

So many of my friends that knew that I was having this done raved about how good I looked. Being a skeptic, I reserved comment. Then when Dr. DeLuca showed me the before and after pictures, I was blown away!! Dear Dr. DeLuca, please post these pictures. I think that other women/men might benefit from this visual. I would be happy to speak to anyone via Dr. DeLuca if they are considering this surgery and have any questions. I am sorry that I waited so long!!

PS – My circles are actually less dark, so I guess I got lucky in that regard!

My procedure with Dr. DeLuca was eyelid surgery, both upper & lower lids. I had experienced thyroid cancer in 2006 and the entire ordeal took a toll on me both emotionally and (as I saw it) cosmetically – especially when I would see myself appearing very tired. And yes, age too was a factor in my needing this procedure. I had not one but two consultations with Dr. DeLuca and decided that he was the perfect person to help me. And even though it’s been a few years now since my surgery, I still have zero doubts that he was the best plastic surgeon I could have had perform the procedure. I would do it all over again. I searched for and found his new website and decided to share my story for anyone else who might currently feel as I once did. I was searching for his information to give to a friend of mine who constantly compliments me on my eyes and wants to have a procedure done by Dr. DeLuca also.

I was extremely unhappy with the way my upper eyelids were starting to droop, and the puffiness and bags under my eyes made me look 10 years older. I had been considering having blepharoplasty for several years. I had developed puffy, droopy eyelids and I wasn’t happy about my appearance, especially when I saw photographs of myself. After meeting a friend who had had this procedure done by Dr. DeLuca, seeing her beautiful results and hearing about her total surgical experience, I made the decision to have a consultation with Dr. DeLuca. He said I was a good candidate for this procedure. My surgery was done on March 15th. It is now April 30 and when I look in the mirror I can’t see any evidence of having had eyelid surgery. I had an abdominoplasty performed by Dr. DeLuca in March of 2010 with the most amazing results. I’m 49, have had 5 children – 3 of which were c-sections – and suffer from rather severe stretch marks. All are negative factors that can make it very difficult to achieve an optimal result. However, a little over one year later and in spite of the “negative factors” mentioned above, my result is incredible and I look absolutely amazing. My body hasn’t looked this good in almost 30 years! My stomach is “board” flat and the stretch marks have all been eliminated! I couldn’t be more pleased. Dr. DeLuca has by far superseded my expectations! My only regret is that I didn’t have my tummy tuck sooner!

I have a co-worker who had the same surgery performed by a different plastic surgeon – and even though she didn’t have any of the negative factors I had going into her surgery, her results don’t look nearly as good as mine.

As part of my abdominoplasty, I had to have my navel reconstructed. Not only does it look amazingly natural, it’s better looking than my “real” one! My daughter says she has seen celebrities whose navels don’t look as good or as natural as mine. Bottom line, excellent surgeon, excellent results. Also, I’d like to give many thanks to Dr. DeLuca’s assistant Gloria. She was phenomenal in the facilitation of the entire process.

After losing 140 pounds due to weight loss, I decided to get surgery since I would be so unhappy with the loose skin that I would regain weight which left me even unhappier. Original surgery in 2007 – tummy tuck, breast lift and eyelid surgery – changed my life by giving me more confidence in my body image. The fact that it ended up looking so good has left me happy for years with the result. Went in again this August 2011 to have my neck and arms done. Old ugly skin is gone – yay – and I’m very happy with the results. I’ve signed up to do my thighs and butt in January 2012. I was in Dr. DeLuca’s waiting room recently and after a new prospective patient asked me if I was happy with the surgeon, I practically stripped down to show her everything I was so happy with – lol!

Dr. DeLuca is so nice. His office persona is very personable, at ease and non-judgmental. You can really talk to him and he listens. He has a great sense of what your result should be. The change in demeanor on surgery day is reassuring as his focus is all there and he’s on – all serious business giving you the sense that you’re in completely competent hands.

Geez, I guess I’m saying YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY USE THIS DOCTOR! Just don’t keep him so busy that I have to stand in line!
