The difference is in the details.
Every woman wishes to have feminine, beautiful breasts, but are often plagued by the effects that genetics, age, pregnancy, illness, and fluctuations in weight can have on their bodies. Breast enhancement surgery can:
- Enlarge or reduce breast size to provide better balance with the rest of the body and reduce symptoms of physical discomfort
- Lift sagging breasts to improve the physical signs of aging
- Enhance self-confidence and increase self-esteem
Breast Lift (Mastopexy)
If your breasts are ptotic (droopy) or have lost their volume and fullness due to aging, pregnancy, breastfeeding and/or weight loss, you may be an ideal candidate for breast lift surgery by Dr. DeLuca or Dr. Tauber. A breast lift tightens the skin and repositions the nipple to give breasts a more perky, youthful appearance. A breast lift can be combined with a breast augmentation or breast reduction. Read more.
Breast Augmentation (Implants or Fat Transfer)
Small breasts can be genetic or occur secondary to weight loss, pregnancy and breast feeding, or age. Breast augmentation surgery adds volume to breasts to make them bigger and fuller. Typically the breasts are augmented with saline or silicone filled implants through small incisions in the breast. Fat grafting is a newer alternative to implants that utilizes fat taken from the belly or back and transfers the fat the breasts for a modest improvement in volume and shape without the need for large scars or implants. These surgeries can be combined with a breast lift for further improvement in shape. Read more.
Overly large breasts can cause physical and/or emotional distress. Neck and upper back pain, headaches, and numbness and tingling in the finger are all symptoms associated with large breasts. Breast reduction surgery removes volume from the breasts to decrease their size and weight. This can improve these symptoms and bring the breasts back into proportion with your frame. Breast reduction is often combined with a breast lift to both decrease the size of the breasts and restore a more youthful shape.
Depending on the size of your breasts, the symptoms you are having, and your insurance company policies you may be able to have breast reduction surgery partially paid for by your insurance company. Read more.
