Sculpt away fat in the stomach, thighs, hips, butt, and neck to work toward your shape and silhouette goals. Despite good health and a reasonable level of fitness, some people may still have a body with disproportionate contours due to localized fat deposits. These areas may be due to family traits rather than a lack of weight control or fitness. The benefits of liposuction are many, but chief among them is that the loss of excess fatty tissue can be long lasting when followed up with healthy diet and exercise.
Unlike tummy tuck surgery, which is used when there is an overabundance of lax skin and/or fatty tissue in the abdominal region, liposuction slims and reshapes specific areas of the body by reducing excess fat deposits. Quality liposuction procedures can help enhance contours and curves, and can also help tighten the thighs, arms, and abdomen.*

I met with Dr. DeLuca and I had a list of questions about my procedure, but he had answered all of them before I even had to ask. Dr. DeLuca just told me the facts and his opinion and that was it, there was no pressure or feeling like I was not being taken serious. Everyone in the office was always very kind and helpful! Dr. DeLuca did an amazing job, he truly understands and makes your vision come true. I love my results and would (and do!) highly recommend him to family, friends and even strangers!! Thank you Dr. DeLuca!!*

Dr. DeLuca has positively changed my life forever! I was educated and mentally ready for my challenge to have weight loss surgery, but I was not prepared for what it did to my body and my self-esteem once I got to my goal weight. From the very first time meeting with Dr. DeLuca I was completely at ease with him. I loved his demeanor, professionalism and complete dedication to his work. I might add a perfectionist… which I admire!
My second surgery with him was liposuction, which reshaped my lower back and upper buttocks area. I had fat deposits that I could not get rid of by diet and exercise. The bruising was a bit scary but it all went away very quickly.
Dr. DeLuca has incredible talent and he really puts you at ease with explaining the entire process. His staff is very caring and professional.Words cannot express how much he changed my life and my self-esteem. I would certainly do this all over again with Dr. DeLuca without any hesitation.*

There are three common variations of liposuction. Dr. DeLuca and Dr. Tauber focus on tumescent liposuction; however, the results depend less on the type of machine or technique used and more on the skill and experience of the surgeon performing the procedure.
Traditional liposuction uses a medium to large-sized cannula (suction rod) and requires general anesthesia. It is no longer done by most surgeons with extensive experience. Its heyday was nearly 20 years ago. Tumescent Power-Assisted Liposuction (PAL) uses a micro cannula that infuses a saline solution containing anesthetic and adrenaline fluid to reduce discomfort both during and after the procedure.
Laser-Assisted Lipoplasty, otherwise known as SmartLipo, uses a cannula with an attached laser light to liquefy fat cells. Once liquefied, the fat is reduced through traditional liposuction incisions using medium to large liposuction cannulas. Both laser and ultrasonic liposuction not only have the added risk of burning the skin, but also a higher risk of fluid collections under the skin.
When you look great, you naturally exude confidence and positivity. Fat reduction combined with exercise and proper diet may help lead to a body that is more balanced and attractive.* Liposuction may be an ideal cosmetic procedure for you if:
“Since Drs. Illouz and Fornier first brought liposuction to the United States in 1982, when I was beginning my residency, there have been really only two game-changing developments in the use of liposuction. The first was the addition of Tumescent fluid dilution, a very dilute concentration of Lidocaine and Adrenaline in a saline solution to expand the area to be treated. This dramatically diminished bleeding, the need for extensive fluid replacement, and for patients to donate their own blood prior to the procedure.
The second was the addition of power to the procedure, which made it much easier for both the surgeon and patient. It was less traumatic and allowed for the utilization of much finer cannulas as opposed to the thumb sized ones of the early days. Everything else has really had only incremental changes on the ultimate outcome of liposuction whether it is the addition of ultrasound or the use of the laser.
Ultimately, first-rate results come down to the surgeon and not the tool. Experience allows the surgeon to refine his techniques so that the procedure is less about liposuctioning and more about liposculpture. Also, judgment is crucial in that some patients are less than ideal candidates no matter what technique is utilized and should be given proper advice in that regard. That being said, traditional Tumescent power assisted liposuction, particularly for larger areas, remains the gold standard.”

I am very pleased with the cosmetic work that Dr. DeLuca performed on me. I had breast augmentation surgery and neck liposuction done simultaneously. Going into this I had two major concerns, the first being neck bruising. A couple of days after the surgery I only had slight bruising at the base of my neck and after the first week, all of the bruising was gone…I highly recommend Dr. DeLuca to anyone that has any hesitation about plastic surgery, as I felt he really listened to me and made the process as comfortable as possible.*
